Aspen Character
Aspen or "Quakie" as the locals call it is rich with natural striation and environmental effects from weather and fire, as well as biological help from animals. Each piece of timber we use is unique.
The trees grow above 8,000 feet and are subject to high winds and stress from snow-pack which beautifully contorts and bends the towering aspen. Other characteristics can include: elk chew, worm grooves, burls and scorch marks.
Requests for special characteristics are taken into consideration for custom-built pieces.

Pure Danish Oil is applied and hand-rubbed onto every piece of Rustic Style Furniture to enhance the wood's natural color and distinct characteristics and sent to you from 8,000 feet in the Rockies.

Rustic Style has been inventing and creating furniture for over five years in an effort to utilize the abundance of dead wood cluttering up the local forests and to revalue the commodity of forest timber rather than turning it into firewood. Each timber is carefully selected with a specific piece of furniture in mind.
