West Dolores Cabin
This quaint cabin on the West Dolores River, in the classic San Juan National Forest Recreation and Wilderness Area, offers hiking, biking, gold medal fly-fishing, prime elk and deer hunting. Nearby McPhee Reservoir provides lake boating and fishing.
The cabin is an hour to Telluride and its many festivals, Mesa Verde and Durango, home of the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It is 2 hours to Canyonlands and Arches National Park.
Those who stay here feel they have found a special vacation rental and can be assured of a smoke and pet free environment.
The cabin is situated directly on the banks of the West Dolores River and is about 770 square feet. Although rustic in nature, it has all the conveniences of a modern home: The bath has a shower and tub, the kitchen an electric stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. A bedroom with a queen bed, a small room with a single bed, and a double sofa sleeper couch accommodate four people comfortably. A propane heat stove provides warmth. The cabin has phone service and Wifi.
All kitchen utensils, cookware, plates and some condiments are furnished. Towels and linens are also provided. A small flat screen TV/DVD player with some select DVD’s is also provided. You will also find plenty of games, puzzles, books and magazines around, too.
Our cabin is located 14 miles from Dolores off highway 145, 1 mile from Stoner and about 55 miles from Telluride. Although we have no TV, this is fishing, hiking, mountain biking, boating, reading and relaxing country.
