The Center is
a museum for interpreting the history and culture of the Four Corners region. Both
the Escalante and Dominquez ruins are accessible from a paved trail. The Museum Shop
features replicas, fine crafts, posters, and a collection of books for all ages on
native culture.
Open 9-5 March thru October, 9-4 November thru February. 7 days a
week.

Year round the Cortez Cultural Center provides a museum, an art gallery, and
a gift shop for tourism and locals. Each month we schedule evening classes, performances
and events for the public on a wide range of topics. These include arts, crafts,

archaeological site? Or excavate alongside archaeologists? Then come to the Crow
Canyon Archaeological Center! During Crow Canyon's Day Tour, learn about the history
of the ancestral Pueblo Indians and visit Crow Canyon's current excavation site.
Or, get your hands dirty and join researchers in the field and lab during Adult Research
Week or Family Week. You'll excavate at our current research site, study artifacts
in the lab, and tour Mesa Verde National Park. During Fall Lab Week, you can work
with some of the 75,000 artifacts that we recover during an average field season.

The GGHS and Gift Shop offer a unique look at a very,
very rare piece of Railroad history. 1/2 bus and 1/2 train in appearance, this odd
looking train engine has a rich history and is still operational. It's more than
worth the visit in the middle of Dolores.
